About Me.
My name is Julie Blackburn, I have been instructing riders, training horses and managing large and small horse facilities in the Midwest and New England for over 30 years. I have a A.S. in Equine Science and a B.S. in Equine Business Management from Johnson & Wales University (1991). In 1988, while attending Johnson & Wales, I became a Massachusetts licensed riding instructor. I later (2013) became a PATH International certified therapeutic riding instructor working with people of all disabilities.
Thoroughbreds have always been my passion. I have owned several over the years, most were purchased right off the racetrack which I rehabbed, retrained and sometimes rehomed, other times a few special horses stayed with me. One in particular, AlyOMy, now 30 years old is happily retired in my backyard.
Many of my horses have lived long, productive lives with the help of both my veterinarians and holistic practitioners. I am a big believer in natural remedies and good nutrition for both pets and people. In 2022 I decided to take a break from the teaching and training world to learn more about holistic options for myself and my horses, cats and dog. I became a MagnaWave and an AOPP certified practitioner and in 2023 and started my new business, Trifecta Animal Wellness LLC, to help pets and their people perform better and become healthier and happier using PEMF and Photo-biomodulation technologies.
